set_species - set the species for AMS
set_species [type]
This
script sets the species in the AMS system. It runs several commands to set
various configurations in
DMANserv(8)
, loads the configuration for
NUMmngr2(8)
,
changes the configuration of the AMS display pages in AccelNET, sets various
AMS parameters in the AccelNET database and loads a new data processing
setup for
listp_new(8)
and
HISTmngr(1)
.
It can be customized to meet each
sites needs so it is located in the /AccelNET/$CONF/machcmds directory.
set_species is usually run by a menu command but can of course be run from
a shell.
The argument list given here is for the factory default
script. Commands may be added to tailer it for each sites needs.

Sets the system more or less for carbon. Some parameters in DMANserv and
on the AccelNET display pages are not set to the carbon values. - carbon
carbon setup - aluminum
aluminum setup - chlorine
chlorine setup - beryllium
beryllium setup
New species may be added to the factory default list
from time to time.
